¿Qué sigue?/¿What’s the next step?

Me parece apropiado compartir un poco cuál es el siguiente paso en mi librería, el cual no es muy alentador a corto plazo.

Actualmente tengo tres trabajos en progreso que nombraré con frases código:

-Esie related.

-Gente supersticiosa.

-En la guerra.

Estos tres libros están avanzados, y sé adonde van orientados, pero no estoy seguro de en cuál quiero enfocarme primero. Además por supuesto, estoy constantemente escribiendo/editando ensayos, así que… sí… con cuatro trabajos cruzándose en mi mente no estoy muy claro con cuál enfocarme. “En la guerra” es quizás el proyecto más ambicioso que tengo, así que queda un poco de lado, dedicado al desarrollo a muy largo plazo. “Gente supersticiosa” me tienta, porque es una historia relativamente sencilla y directa, a diferencia de “Esie related” que, si bien tampoco es muy compleja, sí requiere tener en cuenta un libro completo de más de cien páginas que establece el fondo de la trama.

Esa es la situación hoy, y siendo realista, espero como plazo máximo estar pensando en publicar algo nuevo en 2026. El método de publicación estará en análisis, y ¿quién sabe? quizás termine antes alguna otra historia que aún ni siquiera imagino crear.

It seems appropriate to share a bit about the next step for my library, which is not very encouraging in the short term.

Currently I have three works in progress that I’ll refer to with code phrases:

• Esie related

• Superstitious people

• In the war

These three books are fairly advanced, and I know the direction they’re heading in, but I’m not sure which one I want to focus on first. Besides that, I’m constantly writing and editing essays, so… yes… with four projects crossing through my mind, I’m not very clear about which one to prioritize.

“In the war” is perhaps the most ambitious project I have, so it stays somewhat on the side, devoted to very long-term development. “Superstitious people” tempts me because it’s a relatively simple and straightforward story, unlike “Esie related,” which, while not very complex either, does require keeping in mind an entire book of more than a hundred pages that establishes the background of the plot.

That’s the situation today, and realistically, my maximum expectation is to be thinking about publishing something new in 2026. The method of publication is still under consideration, and who knows—maybe I’ll end up finishing some other story that I can’t even imagine creating yet.
